Does it feel like Basement Jaxx has been around since forever? Although 'Red Alert' was only released in 1999, it seems the UK duo made up of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe has been doing their thing (yeah, I said it) for much longer.
Since joining forces with the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Lisa Kekaula, Lily Allen, Jimmy Blaze (Method Man), Robyn and even ex-N*Sync member JC Chasez, Basement Jaxx have enlisted Devonte Hyne from Lightspeed Champion for the melancholy but still upbeat track 'My Turn'. Hyne's vocals are perfectly tragic, chokey and full of yearning for the song. He's good.
