The Cool Kids The Bake Sale EP (A nice change of pace from all the generic hip hop that was released in 2008). Also, a bunch of totally random hip hop bootlegs on Youtube. Anything remixed by 9th Wonder is going to be pretty ‘win’. Listening to entire albums in 2008 feels weird and pointless.

Pass... Although that new one with Beyonce thrusting everywhere is crazy. It’s not that I like it, more that I can’t turn away. Also, any Rihanna videoclip, I just mute the volume.

Kanye West 808sand Heartbreak. A massively disappointing exercise in navel-gazing and boring production. Kanye isn’t as awesome as he likes to think.

Katy Perry. Anyone who bought her singles doesn’t deserve to have ears.
Most underrated artist
Wiley. He’s making some of the most interesting electronic music around. Sure, some of it falls the wrong side of corny, but he’s like a South London Kanye West – before Kanye went shit.
What/who you’re looking forward to next year
The new Madlib and MF Doom collaboration; Madvillian. That
Rum Diaries movie that Benicio Del Toro is making. The release of Street Fighter IV on home consoles. A new album from Cam’ron would also be nice.
