Along with Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, soul singer Lee Fields sounds like he's from another era. And he kind of is. And isn't. Seemingly channeling James Brown, Fields released a bunch of super rare 7" singles in the 70s one of which ('Flim Flam') Madlib sampled on his TV on the Radio remix recently.
He's been holed up in the studio with Aloe Blacc recording his album
My World which is due out in June. It's full of deep soul ballads just how you like them.
