We’re not going to lie – simply put, Joy Orbison is so hot right now. The 22-year-old South Londoner whose mother calls him Peter (last name: O’Grady) is hardly a secret between hyper music nerds. He’s nearly at underground phenom status, thanks to his track 'Hyph Mngo', an expert blend of dubstep and two-step (has anybody noticed that MJ Cole’s credibility has apparently been restored of late? Our prediction is that two-step is going to make a revival) that has taken off in the blogosphere circles and beyond.
According to revered dance music rag XLR8R, Orbison (or do we call him Joy? Or Peter? Or O’Grady?) started DJing when he was 13 and was introduced to jungle and UK garage thanks to his uncle. So the moral of the story for all of you who are uncles (or aunts) is: you have a duty to future good music listeners to get onto your young bloods quick sticks and steer them in the right direction.

As aside, since all these dubstep lot are either shy or ugly as fuck and have few photos of them floating around the internetz, we’ve filled the remaining empty spaces in the image gallery with pics of Joy Orbison’s namesake – Roy.
