GUY$ IT'S BEEN SO LONG!
A lot has happened since we last took a hip hop trip. A$AP Rocky had beef with people and didn't release an album, Azealia Banks had beef with people and didn't release an album, and Rihanna was boning that abusive d-bag. OH, WAIT.
ANYWAYZ it's time to get back on Lil' Wayne's hip hop plane, because we is going to
India!
India has a population of over 1.21 billion people, is the seventh largest land mass in the world, and has heaps of nuclear weapons and not much healthcare. Now you know the place, let's meet the rap maker guys!
In the early 1990s,
Baba Sehgal was pretty much the first Indian rapper and everyone was heaps psyched on him. One of his big hits was 'Thanda Thanda Paani', which was a remake of Vanilla Ice's 'Ice Ice Baby'.
His other big hit was 'Pettai Rap' which appeared in the film
Kadhalan, as hip hop was often used between the big song and dance numbers
. It pretty much looks like the best movie ever made.
Poetic Ammo is a hip hop crew who formed in 1990, and for some reason they kept that name instead of picking something not shit. They really wanted to know who the player was (player still unconfirmed).
They want your Monay!
Ishq Bector is an Indian/Canadian rapper who has made the most hilarious music video in the history of music videos. He was also on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! which means he's probably friends with Peter Andre.
In 'Saali Bitch' he grooms dogs and says "Another dude in your car!".
Raghav is basically the Indian
Flo Rida. So that's that.
Bally Sagoo is an Indian DJ who grew up in
Birmingham, he mixes hip hop with old Bollywood tunes which is actually something that a million other DJ's copied after him.
Rishi Rich (cute) is the producer responsible for
Jay Sean, but we can forgive him for that. He sounds like the soundtrack to your Year 8 birthday party.
