It's been going on for a while now – everybody is recording cover versions of
Britney Spears' 'Womanizer'. Lily Allen's was good, then Ladyhawke had a turn, then Timid Tiger, the All American Rejects and now that Scottish lads Franz Ferdinand have tried their hand we couldn't ignore the
phenomenon any longer.
(Not that we wanted to; it's no secret how much
love there is for Brit-Brit around here.)
