New York's DJ Wonder has paid tribute to Isaac Hayes with a live mix of the soul man's jams. For the Shade45 Morning Show in the US, Wonder shows the huge impact Hayes had on popular (and not-so-popular) music; having created some of the most clever and recognisable soul and funk wonders ever. Mashed up with the likes of Tupac, Biggie and Biz Markie, the mixtape is evidence of Hayes' relevance in so many different past, contemporary and future musical genres.

So kids, just in case you thought Isaac Hayes was just a massive Scientologist and the Chef from South Park. Sit quietly and listen.

Respect Luke
Mr Hayes, may he rest in peace, looks like he can part oceans in that outfit. So powerful.

Respect Katie
There are lots of things we don't really dig. For instance, we don't like drug addled wife-bashers either, but you can't deny James Brown's talent.
