This is not newsworthy because we have any interest in Panic! At The
Disco (except if that obnoxious lead singer has been set upon by
grizzly bears in party hats) but more because of pure, unadulterated,
and nerdy respect for punctuation.
Panic! At The Disco has decided to lose their completely unnecessary, incorrect, and infuriating exclamation mark. And not a moment too soon.
This step in the right direction makes their overly long song titles*, over-enthusiastic gesturing, and awful, try-hard
A Clockwork Orange use of eye makeup all a little less painful.
But then, just to upset all us grammar nerds again, they announced the release of their new album, complete with unnecessary punctuation. It's going to be called
Pretty. Odd.Shut up, Panic At The Disco. Shut up. And stop punishing punctuation for your own sick pleasure.
* These are actual Panic At The Disco song titles:
"Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off"
"The only difference between martyrdom and suicide is the press
coverage"
"There's a good reason the tables are numbered honey, you just haven't figured it out yet"
