You know how brands sometimes try to make their products more impressive by hijacking talented musicians to semi-whore themselves out? Converse is doing just that. And it's pretty much working because this is getting lots of attention. To celebrate the label's century, Converse has gotten Santogold, Julian Casablancas and Pharrell Williams/N*E*R*D to collaborate on 'My Drive Thru'.
The song suffers from a bit of a lacklustre and very repetitive riff, but White and Casablancas bring a bit of guts and bolsh to it.
Apparently there are plenty more Converse trio collaborations as part of
Three Artists, One Song and will include Kid Sister, MGMT, Bradford Cox of Deerhunter and Atlas Sound, Eleanor Friedberger of the Fiery Furnaces, Does It Offend You, Yeah? and YACHT.
