Apparently Adele has been touted as the next Amy Winehouse (but she doesn't run around the streets of London in her bra with suspicious powder covering her nostrils as she weeps for her jailed boyfriend... God I love Amy) because she's got that whole quasi-blues, tragic, soulful vibe in her vocals. Not sure if I'm really late to be reporting on her, but she has a new song and a new video 'Chasing Pavements' coming out soon.
'Chasing Pavements' is a pretty ok song. But she's no Amy. And maybe that's
because she doesn't run around the streets of London in her bra with suspicious powder covering her nostrils as she weeps for her jailed boyfriend. But maybe it's because her songs come across as a little more sooky rather than soulful. Either way, Adele has a lovely voice and she's altogether not too shiny, which is nice.
