Irish creative Boo George describes himself
quite simply as a "keen as mustard" photographer that "likes denim". Whilst there's not much mustard (just lots of cream, corn blue, and a splash of berry) in the latest lookbook he's been commissioned to shoot, there sure it a helluvalot of denim. The brand in question is Wrangler
, after all.
For their spring/summer 2011-12 collection, the pretty iconic brand has continued off where we left them. They're still cheeky, a bit boho, and indulging in more double-denim than JT and Britters at a '90s award ceremony. This is a far cry from the housing blocks of Belfast or the wilderness of Zambia for Boo George (who in the past has shot diamond miners along the military heavy Congo border) however the photographer brings his signature portraiture technique to the creative just beautifully.
The collection also branches out in to some crochet tops and dresses for the ladies, which the brand says are perfect as we approach those all-too-closet-demanding festival months. Braver women can also try out a fairly awesome pair of bell-bottomed jeans, however men are given a much more safe option: the relatively huge trend at the moment of mulberry hued pants.
