Designers and founders of Wool and The Gang, Carolyn Main and Lisa Sabrier, were born oceans apart (New Zealand and Switzerland, respectively) but came together when their worlds and minds met. Enter Wool and The Gang, a roots-y label that offers simple knitted goods that aren't dullsville.
This spring/summer 2011 collection is made up of chunky knits that don't actually look entirely out of place in the sunny lookbook; bright sweaters with cut-out sections, short-sleeved vests and oversized tees, and beanies (even though nobody should really be wearing a beanie when they're perfectly warm in shorts and a singlet – word to the wise).
According to Main, Wool and The Gang is a great way for people to "discover, or re-discover, the skill of hand-knitting". It's also a really excellent reason to embed this video:
