Wildfox, not satisfied with a full ladies' range, swimwear, kids' wear and eyewear, has included menswear in their most recent autumn/winter 2012 collection.
The campaign called
Star Crossed Lovers is, evidently, their own take on
Romeo and Juliet and while it seems to take a few tips from Baz Luhrmann's 1995 version, it doesn't take many tips from the actual play. Mostly it seems like four mates/lovers going on a roadtrip and potentially having a foursome in an underground church. Which, you guys, isn't the story of
Romeo and Juliet.
Regardless, we're here for the attire. So let's discuss that.
The collection is exactly what we've grown to expect from Wildfox – lots of pastels, lightweight knits and recurring motifs. While it'd be expected that some of those candyfloss sweaters covered in lovehearts would be toughened up for the gents, a lot of the garb looks totally unisex. There's also some of that cute-cult vibe happening with skulls and daggers.
All up, it's nothing very adventurous for the label, but wearing some of the product could be adventurous for some blokes.
