New York-based Va$htie is one of those ladies people call It Girls. She's worked as a music video director, artist, creative director and party promoter and she's been working on Violette's launch for eight years.
Launching this year, Violette is inspired by "uptown and downtown, hip hop and rock, feminine and masculine, casual and couture" to create tees that aren't straight-up street but aren't too faddy either. With lots of pastels and block graphics, Va$htie has made sure her designs aren't too feminine or too over-the-top – a trap that a lot of streetwear labels have been falling into in an attempt to be louder and brighter than the others.
Stay tuned, because Violette Homme is apparently on its way too.
