Another Japanese label today. This time SasquatchFabrix introduces its autumn/winter collection, dubbed
Contemporary Pirate2. It's a bold and pretty adventurous line – lots of asymmetry, wild tailoring and garishly patterned fabrics.
It's not an entirely balanced collection, but the over-sized striped turtle-necks, tool-belt 'bum flap' (ie: a half-skirt/apron style piece), camouflage old fashioned riding pants, and checkered cropped pants are evened out with slightly less daring numbers. There are a few semi-twisted takes on classics; the trench coats, over-sized button-ups, bulky knitted sweaters and biker jackets are all a little more subtle.
Whether you'd wear all or none of it, it's a fabulously audacious collection.
