Remember that time that you went Mexico for the summer and spent your time drinking beer, and hanging out with babes on the back of utes? No? Well, Quality Peoples is trying to bring back that beach-y vibe with its debut collection
And the Waves Will Wash it Away.
The label began in 2010 as a collaboration between artists Ed Fladung and John Esguerra, who lived in Mexico and Hawaii respectively, and communicated their ideas via the internet (and they say Gen-Y only uses it for evil). The result is a combination of both of the designers' surroundings, from the surf and classic menswear of Hawaiian culture, to the folklore and tequila soaked nomadic lifestyle of Mexico.
The best part is that Quality Peoples is associated with P.E.A.C.E – a not for profit in Mexico that provides community services around the coast. For every tee sold, Quality Peoples funds one afternoon of after school programs for a child.
