Bay Area label Petals and Peacocks seems to be having a pretty fun time. The brand's most recent collection for winter 2011, called
Kill Them With Kindness, is bold, bright and kind of childish. (We're not saying that's a bad thing, so hold your horses.)
The collection is made up of staple crewneck tee-shirts and sweaters, but it's in the graphics that P&P starts popping. There are cartoon-ish pictures of fried eggs, aliens, skull and lightning bolts and it's anything but subtle. While some of the designs fall a little flat, others are pretty excellent. We particularly like the 'Overeasy' tee and the 'Kill them with kindness' dripping font.
Childish, maybe. Fun, definitely. Also, shouts to the ridiculous multi-coloured hair.
