pa nuu aren't giving up on the 80s

Danish label pa:nuu was born just two years ago and has already grown up big time. It offers full collections to men and women and is now sold in 15 countries.

The people behind pa:nuu (Jacob Hoilund and Cathrine Nielsen) are adamant that they are not about what's trendy and don't pay attention to market research, instead they say pa:nuu was born purely out of a love for "simple but powerful graphic expressions and prints".

The collection includes lots of bright colours and blocky prints, and while a lot of you are done with the whole 80s vibe, we did like the way pa:nuu paid homage to the era, "when George Bush was just a simple alcoholic". Yes.

I love these comments. Funny how people always have to say something reminds them of the 80s just because of the bright colors. Come on people. Open your minds to a new era of fashion. We haven't had anything like this in a while. I feel like our generation is so boring and unoriginal. Everyone just wants to dress like celebrities or wear the same thing they've worn since the late 90s. Throw out your khakis, jeans, flip flops, and ugly outdated clothes and embrace this. This is the future of fashion. Learn to accept it. BTW- celebrities aren’t the creators of trends! Just because Kanye wore those “shutter shades” doesn't mean he started that trend. A stylist probably told him to wear them or he bit someone else’s style that he saw on the street. He deserves no credit for those. Those shades were big in the 80s but weren’t worn in this way. Oh and for the person who attempted to describe what this look reminds them of (Daft punk, etc.), I’d hate to see what you look like Plain Jane.
