Rumour has it that Billabong is a big deal in the USA/Canada. Here in 'Straya it's often dismissed as just a surf brand – of which we have a bunch.
But the team behind Billabong clearly ain't fools, and they've teamed up with super popular fashion blogger the Oracle Fox (aka Mandy Shadforth) to create a capsule collection this spring/summer. It's certainly going to pique the interest of people formerly uninterested in the brand, as well as maintain relevance with its fans. (Having Zippora Seven in the lookbook won't hurt either.)
The collection, created for Australia's spring/summer 2011-12, teams Billabong's surf roots with OF's trademark free-spirited, boho-esque style. There are tribal patterns, tassels, lace and all things vintage-inspired. The lace-cuffed shorts are a favourite, and we're pretty sure the light-weight knits will be hits too.
