Australian label Maurie and Eve has remained on-trend with their autumn/winter 2011 collection – regardless of the actual garments. Because so-hot-right-now model 'Bambi' Stef Northwood-Blyth (aka Eyebrows) is modelling the goods.
The range is a little more demure than some of Maurie and Eve's recent collections that were often a little heavier on the loud
metallic fabrics and sequins, and has given way for
another return to its earlier stylings: soft, loose, draped and ladylike. There are plenty of wrapped/bandage skirts, floaty onesies, gathered bodysuits and slouchy sweaters. And the sequins have made way for a bunch of softer colours too; pale pink, cream, grey and a soft khaki all feature.
It's not all soft-serve though; there's some sharp geometric patterned fabrics, a super-tight mini-skirt (complete with studs) and a bunch of accordion pleats.
