Abandonment issues, much? One of our favourite New Zealand ladies labels was totally ronery last time we checked in on them. Nothing much has changed since then. Continuing on with their solitary love of all things sheer, feminine, and a little bit edgy, Lonely Hearts has just released their latest spring/summer 2011-12 collection. The name? You guessed it:
Alone.
They're starting to embrace the single life, however. (You go, girl.) The collection muses off a strong, independent Australian woman featured in an old '70s copy of National Geographic. Her solo quest across the desert has resulted in tonal and floaty pieces, such as floor-length dresses and leather brown shorts.
The most awesome outfit is arguably the pairing of a crazy-cool digital sky tee and honey biker shorts. The latter have a high potential for camel toe, but that's OK because they have those in the desert, right? Either way, petite Melbourne model Anja Konstantinova – who you may remember from
The Ellery Gazette's NSFW shots – is totally owning hair stylist Timothy Stone's windswept creation.
But let's not forget some of the best bits: Lonely Hearts has also just released a sneak preview of their side-project Lonely's fourth collection. It's very much in line with
their earlier cut-out and string-detailed lace pieces, but has taken an even softer, more romantic approach. (The boobs are also bigger but that's a side point.)
