As always, Lazy Oaf is all about the cartoons. What's new though, is that the brand is now creating a collection for each season, instead of combining spring/summer and autumn/winter.
This season it's exactly what you expect from LO – comic-style graphics, bright colours, cheeky slogans and everything to make you look like an overgrown toddler, or an undergrown adult. Either way, it's good fun.
There are shiny leggings covered in bones, crop tops galore, pseudo-creepy skulls, sweatpants, high-neck '80s-vibed mini dresses, rhinestones and Mickey/Minnie Mouse motifs. Some pieces hit the mark perfectly: flirty and cute. While some miss and venture into a strange place where kid's cartoon characters are way too close to being sexualised. It's kind of like cartoon characters in parody porn – it's kind of funny, but you're not actually into it. (Or are you? No judgement.)
Overall, Lazy Oaf has done exactly what we like about the label: made a range that doesn't take itself too seriously.
