Since debuting in 2004, LA-based label Band of Outsiders has produced quirky and expertly tailored pieces for men. The recently released Fall collection continues this trend, with the appearance of cotton corduroy blazers, rubber boat shoes, penny loafers, and leather boat ‘chukkas’ (whatever chukkas are, we are sure Band of Outsiders has done them proud).
It’s hard to picture your average Aussie ‘bloke’ in a wool patchwork suit whilst chucking another shrimp on the barbie – and perhaps that is half of the BoO charm. Pop it on the back of Jason Schwartzman, however, and you will hear the collective oestrogen-induced sigh of women everywhere. Mmmmmmm.
Already collaborating once before back in 2007; the Fall Collection featuring Schwartzman continues the label’s nostalgic Polaroid trend. Whether he’s trespassing on private property, falling down stairs, having his fortune read, or shielding himself from the harsh UV rays with a white parasol; Jason Schwartzman in Band of Outsiders is just how women everywhere wished their respective other’s looked. Oh, if only he wasn’t married.
