Fancy Swimwear, designed by Liz Luque, doesn't pull any punches – it's gaudy, loud and entirely too far.
When some people use the words "gaudy, loud and too far" they mean it's terrible, but not us. We think that Fancy's ridiculous Safari
collection is pretty fabulous. It's all gold lamé, 3D animal print, neon, glitter, fluorescent and sheer fabrics cut-n-sewn into bikinis, cut-out one-pieces and one-shouldered numbers that are anything but demure.
The lookbook is a tea party in the middle of the desert, shot by Catherine Asanov and, like the swimsuits, is over-the-top – bold make-up, big hair, opulent furniture and a crazy setting. We need a rest.
