Design duo Silvia Hillmann and Katrin Wiens both grew up in Germany but followed different paths before joining forces for Pepper and Pistol. Hillmann worked in the fashion industry from London to New York while Wiens worked in graphic design and created textiles for the likes of Calvin Klein.

When they teamed up for Pepper and Pistol, they wanted to make a women's label that centred on custom prints and textiles. Their sometimes ethereal cuts are often saved from becoming too feminine with bright colours and interesting prints that work to balance the garments. Their summer 09 collection is called Babylon and features lots of bright colours, custom prints, and easy to wear shapes.

Respect Jake
Some cute pieces, I really like the direction. Maybe it's just cause my fruit bowl at work is full of them but I really like how the bananas were a mix of old rotting ones and fresh new ones. Looked pretty :) - Jake XOOXO
