Santa Monica label Beautiful Fül has dropped their fall/winter 2010 collection called
The Last Man and the lookbook reflects the title perfectly and beautifully. Set in a desert and surrounded by metallic mannequins, a dreamboat in Ray Bans sports the very dapper, very tailored collection.
Often focusing on silhouettes, it's quite a dark collection – mostly black and grey – but is lifted by the ample texture used in almost all of the pieces. Thick and heavy button-ups, a wool and leather bomber jacket, rubber buttons, shiny tuxedo lines on pants; every trick in the book is used, but without resulting is garishness.
The delight is in the detail.
