We recently told you that gawdy-cool jewellery label
Ambush has their fingers in some serious pies. Behond one such pie: a collaboration with psychedlic street label
Cassette Playa. The spring/summer 2011 is definitely
not one of those deliciously crappy Nanna brand frozen pies (the ones that are always soggy), but is instead one of the highest calibre that's homemade on the streets of the world. The result definitely has a cherry on top.
Ambush certainly has had a busy, busy social calender this year. There's been more pie baking with
Topman,
Roc Star,
Zippo and many other collaborations that we can't be bothered hyperlinking. Cassette Playa's little lady, Carri Munden, hasn't been quite so busy, but has also managed to make backpacks cool again with
Phenomenon alongside maintaining world travel updates on her
psychedelic blog (epileptics be forewarned).
The
spring-summer 2011 collab a features a lot of young, fun models who are rocking the shit out of the two label's wares. You'll remember the shock-pop jewellery from product shots this month, but it's really the clothes by Cassette Playa that we think are worth your time. Those acid green pants and top are AMAZEBALLS and we hope to wear them soon. Extra points go to both parties for channelling
Janelle Monae.
