=Japan Fashion Week 2009 has been and gone. Taking place October 19-25, the event drew over 20,000 attendees. While the runways had the usual suspects displaying their new collections, everyone knows the real action takes places behind the scenes. That’s where the deals are struck, drinks are drunk, models get naked and the fashion industry goes about its arcane business.
Dan Bailey is a UK photographer based in Japan. He’s also one of the promoters behind the rather glitzy Tokyo Dandy. That gives him plenty of access to the stuff you won’t see in the official magazine and websites. Here are some of his photos from Japan Fashion Week.
