NEX meets ATCQ

Our friend and photographer Tom Blachford took the Sony NEX-5 to meet Bonita Applebum. Here are some shots from the Melbourne edition of the A Tribe Called Quest tour. Pretty impressive.

Times are tough

I took myself on a little point and shoot excursion around my hood. I couldn't help but notice an ever expanding collection of vacant retail spaces in what you'd think would be highly sort after locations. Either landlords are super greedy or retail is doing it tough right now.




One man's failures are another man's garbage dump... I actually saw this ex-store's neighbour add to this pile of doorway garbage.





Apparently a bunch of these spaces are going to be knocked down to make way for some kind of retail/residential super complex or something.... there goes the neighbourhood.

Our resident snapper and Art Director extrodinare Paul Hermes took the Nex-5 out for a spin. 

The scary thing is that these are all from about a 1km radius of the LL HQ.

Sony NEX-5 - week one

Well, it is my (Jamie) turn first to get the camera pumping and get some images going to see how she fairs! OF COURSE I was going to take a shot of my beloved BMXs, but I also did some low light on a shoot we were on on the weekend.

Most impressive so far is the fact that the camera has a function that in low light will take about six rapid fire images and merge their data to create one crisp image. The studio shots I used this function.
