Being that it was election weekend, I was hiding from the polling madness. Here are some shots from around the place.

Caught this web at the
Thousand Steps in the Dandenongs. 16mm, f/2.8, background blur maxed out, ISO 200. Anyone who knows me will tell you how impressive it is that I went on this hike, fitness is not my thing. That being said I highly recommend it for a city getaway, just remember to take water, if you must take a camera then anything bigger than the NEX-5 will just weigh you down — I almost abandoned my DSLR on a hike once, the extra weight will get to you about halfway up, trust me.

While the country watched the election, we chilled out with some red and watched
Wedding Crashers. Such a good decision. 28mm (using the 18-55mm lens), f/4.0, ISO 1600, and most impressively — no tripod. The sharpness of this camera in low light is ridiculously good.

16mm, f/2.8, ISO 200, nice blur effect on the right side of the badge even though there isn't too much distance difference between the center and the edge.

A little self portrait, same settings as above. Check the detail in the shadow, nice!
