'Telephone' starring Lady Gaga and Beyonce is out to be seen: heavy handed on the Tarantino references, huge helping of
Caged Heat, but 9 minutes 32 seconds later I had to watch it again.
It’s either brilliant or a total circus. The jury is out.
But frankly who cares because who wouldn’t want to watch a video featuring weight-lifting, grandma inmates, hot Latinas, full-on girl-fights, lesbian jail-love, and Gaga herself channeling everyone (Billy Idol, Amy Winehouse, Naomi Campbell, Josie and the Pussycats, David Lachapelle, Micheal Jackson, Bette Davis, Thelma & Louise and Betty Crocker…), plus dressing like the wonderful fashion nightmare we know and love!
Let’s not forget Beyonce in black lipstick spouting dialogue just like a "real actress" (so cute!), eating honey rolls and wearing epaulettes (Yes! Epaulettes!), riding around in a Pussy Wagon, dressing like a Texas banana and killing people with Gaga (who, for the occasion, is wearing 'Telephone Hat No. 2').
Sound nutty? Well, the damn video just gets better and better.
