Pure Light
Without sounding like too much of a photographic wanker, my first blog will be based around light.
I watched a doco the other night about a woman who chased the Northern lights through Norway. Made me wonder, what is it about light that makes someone travel to the top of the earth to chase a natural phenomenon that may not even reveal itself? It's a big risk and a huge expense to see something that is completely out of our control.
So like surfing, I like the thrill of getting something that's completely uncontrollable and making with it what I can. A camera allows me to do this. A wave allows me to do this. Not much else in the world does.
So here's to light and the way it turns me on. I love you Sunshine.
