Bea Arthur Mountains Pizza

BLOG POSTED BY ARIELAMAZING ON 26 FEB 2010 @ 02:19 PM
Like its male counterpart, Selleck Waterfall Sandwich, Bea Arthur Mountains Pizza joins someone we love, with something we love to eat, with some scenery we're happy to see  - ALL IN THE ONE JPG.

And that is why I love the internet.

Take five to hi-five our gallery over here for the, "definitive collection of pictures featuring Bea Arthur, mountains and pizza."

My Yeah Yeah Yeahs dilemma

BLOG POSTED BY ARIELAMAZING ON 20 APR 2009 @ 02:10 PM

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have a new album, did you know? It's Blitz!

Here's my dilemma.

After reading our review and listening to It's Blitz! a bunch of times, I was nervous that Karen O might just be the weakest link this time around. Lets be honest, the lyrics in a lot of their new tracks are terrible. Sometimes beyond terrible. I mean, "Shake it like a ladder to the sun, makes me feel like a mad man on the run" is bad, but it's not even the worst lyric in that track!

To contrast, the other two pieces of this NY three piece are über amazing on this album. Conundrum!

Despite Nick Zinner looking like a man that hasn't uttered a single word in years and the fact that he's so close to the wings he's barely even on the stage when they perform, he's still six different types of brilliant. (FYI he once drew me a picture.)

So when you've got Brian's drumming and Nick Zinner's everything and there is so much good between those two alone, I began to wonder if Karen O just has zany outfits and good hair?

AND THEN I WATCHED THEM LIVE VIA YOUTUBE.

You almost don't know who to watch. Between the drum fills, Zinner's broody stance and Karen O standing center stage like a NY art rock goddess, it's hotter than that day in summer when Toby got his gear off and ate a schnitzel.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll / Zero live at Later... with Jools Holland

And it's the same watching them on perform Letterman and SNL. (So amazing even Paul Schaffer (!) refers to her as, "rad".)

Crisis over people, because the moral of the story is, I got goosebumps. As soon as she even breathes into the microphone you can't help but fall in love. Swoonsville: population, me.

She is by no means the weakest link! She's hot and sassy and I can't wait for them to tour. Again.

Scarlett and Moët have a magical story to tell

BLOG POSTED BY ARIELAMAZING ON 02 APR 2009 @ 03:49 PM

The new Moët & Chandon ad campaign features Scarlett Johansson and is photographed by one of the fashion sets favourite photographers, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, but don't let that fool you because it's actually yawnsville.

It seems alcohol and hotness have turned on us.

Read on.

ScarJo announced, “I am honored to have been chosen as their ambassador and to make history with the brand, as the first celebrity face of champagne.” Really, Scarlett? "Make history"? I'm not entirely sure it's that earth shattering, is it?

Apparently Scarlett was the obvious choice as the brands ambassador, “because she, like Moët, has a magical story to tell and makes people dream”, said Frédéric Cumenal, President of Moët & Chandon.

Johansson however, chose the role as ambassador based on the qualities it shares with her current life as an actress; “Moët and the movies both tell compelling stories and share authentic emotions with the world.” Yes. She. Actually. Said. Authentic.

It seems Moët is really in depth for a bottle of champagne.

But wait, because the worst part is that the pictures are equally as disappointing as hearing her speak. She was looking crazy hot in the photoshoot with Dita Von Teese for Flaunt Magazine, but it seems things have gone awry.

Champagne glass between toes is ever so seductive. Elegance is very rare.

Lame dress, lame chair. Pool looks swimable.

I'm more excited about the ice bucket.

Why is she holding the cork like that?

Bored.

Her lipstick is a nice colour.

And for the win...

Am I just having a bad day, or is this actually pretty terrible?

Sarah Silverman for Boy

BLOG POSTED BY ARIELAMAZING ON 23 MAR 2009 @ 04:02 PM

Boy by Band of Outsiders are currently crushing on one of my favourite celebrities. No more fabulous old men, or Kiki Dunst, or the eternally cute Michelle Williams, this time it's all about Sarah Silverman.

She's stepped out of her Chuck Taylors and into heels, replaced her grunge uniform with fancy wares and is looking like one hot Jewess in these polaroids for the label's Spring lookbook. Jew wish you were her?

While, Silverman’s Wikipedia page (always a fountain of truth) describes her performances as “satirical comedy [that] addresses social taboos and controversial topics such as racism, sexism and religion.” Band of Outsiders sees her as being, "less about the content and delivery and more about her singularity and honesty. Plus she’s totally hot. And hilarious... We thought it would be a good way to show how versatile the Boy pieces are."

Amen! Now brace yourselves. Here are the pictures from the shoot, shot on location at Canter’s Delicatessen, which is a very old, well-known, super Jew Jew deli in the Fairfax district of LA.

Pamela Anderson for Vivienne Westwood

BLOG POSTED BY ARIELAMAZING ON 27 JAN 2009 @ 01:53 PM
The amazing talents of Pamela Anderson (mad cans) and Vivienne Westwood (lady genius) have come together.

The photos are taken by Juergen Teller for Westwood's Spring Summer 09 campaign and they feature Vivienne and her husband/former student/stylist Andreas Kronthaler flanking everyone's favourite Baywatch babe.

Loves it.

What's that? You want to see more? Okay, sure just come over here.
