I got the email from Matt one of the associates working for Nick the owner of Given. The gallery is in the Castro district in the great city of San Francisco and the history is quite fantastic. Castro has had its ups and downs with Gays getting the respect they deserve and Harvey Milk came into the picture changing history and leaving a legacy among the civil rights giants. Castro Camera was a foundation for the Castro district and still is as Given Gallery. I parked about a block away and carried my art, the hustle and bustle of the district was fantastic and yes being bold was in the windows and here this was it, being open being upfront.
The talk with Nick was about art, the shop, the history and stories of collectors returning to the gallery to make that purchase. Im thankful they found me, Im thankful I can express and yes it may be a bit distored but then again...
