Long gone are the days where tattoo art was a privilege reserved for
social outcasts and degenerates. Today's inked army, it would seem are
more common than Subway sandwiches which brings me to an interesting
point... For something that used to be a mark of individuality is it
even possible to have a tattoo that's truly original? Well it might be
if you're fortunate enough to live in Montréal and you stumble across a
talented tattoo artist by the name of Yann Travaille.
Yann's style of tattooing completely ignore years of body ink tradition
and it's almost as if he treats the people he tattoos like over-sized
fleshy doodle pads for him to leave his considered scribbles all over. Not
something I'll be lining up for in a hurry but all the same I'm a
massive fan of his original take on a relatively saturated art form.
Check some samples of his work tot he right of this post and for more please visit
