You're invited to witness the world's biggest and best graffiti battle – Write4Gold is being held in Australia for the very first time and it's going to be here in Melbourne. The organisers of Write4Gold are gung-ho, super-keen to expose the whole wide world to graffiti and aerosol art, and have them be legitimised and accepted as both significant and valid art forms. Each country involved in Write4Gold hosts a national competition where a national champion is crowned. This means you have the awesome opportunity to see some of the country's best graffiti crews in action, before one is chosen to represent Australia at the world finals at the Splash Festival in Germany.

The competition's soundtrack will be live DJ sets from local favourites like Perplex, Smitten, Plutonic Lab, Mexi and others. Then, the official after party will be held at Revolver Upstairs with the announcement of the winners, an exhibition of sketches by well-known Australian artists as well as the competition entrants, sounds by Likewyze/Blades MCs and more, and lots of good times. It promises to be solid slice of fried gold.

Write4Gold graffiti battle: Saturday 8th December at Shakespeare Grove car park (Luna Park) from 10am-6pm.
Write4Gold after party: Saturday 8th December at Revolver Upstairs (229 Chapel Street) from 7pm onwards, and entry is free before 10pm.
