If living in a portable fold-up house that looks and pretty much is a tricked up shipping container gets your sap rising, then thanks to Atelierworkshop, your future is looking mighty fine friends. The New Zealand-based architect firm has developed the Port-a-Bach, a prototype container home that when concealed looks like any old shipping container. However, once opened up, what's revealed is a modern, eco-friendly and pretty darn awesome compact home.
Developed of course for any kind of on-site projects where a temporary and portable living space was necessary, the Port-a-Bach is still only in prototype stage and in the market for commercial sponsors to help bring it to market.
