It's no secret that I have always loved Star Trek. Admittedly it was
only ever for The Next Generation series (TNG), and yes, I speak dribs
and drabs of Klingon and have no trouble separating my four fingers
like a Vulcan... but I digress. Since the series' demise we don't have much
to ever report on, so it is with much pleasure that I am able to show
you two things I love in a relevant light: Star Trek and art.
Unlike
a lot of very unimaginative companies these days who have no concept
of how to connect or how the internet works, the team in the US
promoting
Enterprise (the latest installment of Star Trek movies) decided
to do a very cool model project based on the Starship Enterprise with
a host of artists. This can fail sometimes, but due to the iconic shape
of the ship and the fact that it's never been done before, this project
seems to tick all the boxes.
Just have a look at the models submitted so far to see what I mean.
Awesome, I don't care if you're a sci-fi geek or not. Awesome.
