At first glance these works by Tokyo based artist Kazuki Takmatsu
appear to offer the kind of perspective that could only be served up
with the aid of CG. His subjects are constructed out of what appears to
be cross sectional layers of light as if a 3d model has been sliced
through it's core in several places. The thing is that these are
actually created entirely by hand using acrylic and guache. Using
nothing but shapes of shades of grey he is able to construct images
with extaordinary detail. Beautiful works.
