Today sees the release of an outstanding and mysterious French animated, sci-fi feature film directed by Christian Volckman (Maaz, 1999). The film is successfully stylised using the motion capture technique combined with the simplicity of black and white imagery.

It is set in an Orwellian Paris in 2054. A young scientist, Ilona Tasuiev (Romola Garai) noted for her intelligence and beauty is kidnapped. The investigation that follows sees a cop, Karas (the new James Bond, Daniel Craig), becoming deeply and personally involved in finding the young scientist. The web of intrigue and conspiracy continues as the nature of her work and its potential impact on the world is discovered.

A thoroughly enjoyable sci-fi noir style film with stunning animation that is sure to captivate. A must see for both animation aficionados and non-aficionados alike.
