We're familiar with the idea of transforming phonebooths into pieces of awesome art with the Brazilian telco initiative, Call Parade, where 100 artists re-imagined 100 public phones in Sao Paulo. This time round it was Japan's turn to give it a crack.
Kingyobu, a collective of Japanese art students, went about installing a massive fish tank inside a handful of phonebooths around Osaka, Japan. Complete with real-life goldfish swimming around, the public aquariums are pretty awesome and although we're not sure if the water fucks with the phone's operation, we don't really care!
