Not only does he have a powerful surname but David van Alphen is a man that seems to have been trapped in a time capsule for the last 30 years. His collage style artwork has literally been plucked straight out of the seventies with a mash up of vintage advertising imagery and acrylic mounted on wood combined with a palette that no pimpin van  would be complete without. Far out man.

Check out some samples of his collage work to the right of this post and for more check out Netherland Art.

The colors are great, they have that "lived in" feel. They're all super, but "1974" is pretty much my favorite.
