New York native Dan May spends almost all his waking moments painting imagined creatures in dreamscapes that "transcend all space and time". His sleeping moments are probably consumed with dreaming up his sad, scary and sweet critters. Sometimes scary monsters, sometimes sad souls and cute double-headed animals, May's works of art are difficult to predict and will probably haunt your thoughts for a long time after seeing them.
May attended Syracuse University, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration, and now lives in Atlanta. His works have been in a number of publications and exhibitions and his clients include Wired, LA Weekly, Evoke and Out magazines.
It's all bittersweet, fear, magic, mystery and fantasy.
