Kuanth's version of 'dark' might seem a little naive to some; but his sometimes retro-feel, sharp, and exaggerated illustrations are pretty awesome nonetheless. Nameless monsters, gory fairytales (Snow White gets mutilated by birds), and dodgy Geishas with dildos, all make up some of the characters you'll find in this collection.
Singapore-based Kuanth worked as a designer in the publishing and advertising industries before quitting in 2002 to become a full time illustrator. His designs and artworks have been used by companies like Heineken, Sony, Levi's and Lancome.
Recently, Kuanth launched
Mistake by Kuanth which includes everything from homewares, to dolls, to accessories. Kuanth believes that "perfection is boring and mistakes can be beautiful". Word.
