Joker is from an era where boomboxes were the shit, baggy pants were hip and street art hadn't made its way onto the internet– because the internet didn't exist. Since the 1980s, the artist has been painting walls and trucks in San Francisco, continuing to spray his old school tag even today.
These days the emphasis on creative tagging is somewhat lost, with images generally replacing words in street art (or tags being so scribbly that they aren't really considered worth preserving). It's nice to see someone representing a piece of graffiti history, and reminding us of a time when street artists didn't get paid millions in exhibition sales.
