Ignacio Gatica (or Ignacio Gatica Blokis, depending on which website you're researching the artist on) is a 21-year-old artist from Santiago whose work appears in galleries and on the streets.
His artworks are created using acrylics, pencils, pens and textas (indoors) and house paint, brushes and rollers (outdoors) and are fun, a bit abstract and a little bit crude. (We use the word "crude" here in the true sense, not the saucy sense: a little unrefined and a little raw, but in a good way).
His colourful characters are super cute and while there's a lot going on in many of the artworks, they also have a bold simplicity that really (for want of a better word) pops.
