If 9 1/2 weeks were to take a dirty weekend it would look pretty
similar to one of Monica Cook's paintings. Monica's technically brilliant and
immaculate portraits of disgusting, gooey and erotic encounters will
leave you in need of a good scrub (or something else depending on your
inclination). Her nudes are painted observing brilliantly the
subtleties and elasticity of the flesh and combined with smeared fruit,
seafood and whatever else her mind can conjure the works ooze of incredible detail. A graduate of the
Georgian Savannah College of Art and Design, Monica Cook lives and
works in New York and has exhibited her works in galleries across the
world. Right on!
