Sanna Annukka is half Finnish, half English, all artist extraordinaire. Also, she has one of the best names of all time, possibly with a record in double letters.
Annukka's illustrations and prints focus heavily on nature and folklore; she has a set of prints coming out that are based on the Kalevala which is a collection of Finnish folklore songs. Often creating super bright images of owls, peacocks, doves and foxes, Annukka is also responsible for Keane's
Under the Iron Sea cover art as well as a bunch of designs for their vinyl and single releases.
She has recently joined creative agency Big Active to set up her company which will print limited edition silkscreen prints of her artworks as well as eventually creating clothing, wall hangings and wallpapers.
