Canadian illustrator Natalie Anne Howard's works speak of the kind of
truths that glossy rags of the world go to great lengths to deny...
Through her deranged doodles, society's perfectly airbrushed facade is
washed in acid, masticated and digested by a truth beast and dredged
from the sewer before revealing the true state of the world before our
virgin eyes. It's a little gross. Actually scratch that.... it's a
whole lot gross but it's equally as refreshing which is what makes her
work so awesome. There's some obvious style similarities between her
works and that of
Matt Furie,
Todd James and perhaps even
Porous Walker but her themes are well and truly her own and once beyond the initial gag reflex you're sure to be impressed.
