Alexandros Vasmoulakis’ building installations and artwork – using acrylic, silver, wood, and rhinestones – pretty much summarise why traditional billboard advertising is so very 2009. The artist also dabbles in art and sculpture installations of the borderline-inane variety; including a floating children’s tricycle and a sculpture depicting the monthly yogurt consumption of a four member German family.

Our boy’s also got a thriving fascination with shopping trolleys that will perplex most. There’s one filled with giant boulders (eh?), another stacked with presents (huh?), and – the obvious pièce de résistance – a baby mercilessly shoved inside a miniature trolley on its way down the street (whaaat?). Honestly, we’re stumped. Somebody please explain.

I know what he means by stuffing a baby into a miniature trolley! It's the marketing to babies and the shopping culture that babies are born into, well almost! And the babies I've seen who look as though they have just been born on their mothers arms being carried around huge unpleasant shopping centres...And the future for humanity, stuff it lets go shopping, I'm so bored, I'll just buy something instead, and Oh I need this that and the other thing for myself or my home when it really is not needed. Its like eating when you are not hungry. And when you do need food you really appreciate it..so make it when you appreciate it and take your baby to the markets or at least outdoor shops instead is what I say to myself...yeah! Thats what I'll try to do instead...can't really find a good Indian shop in a shopping centre last time I looked anyway! And their hair products are better too and cheaper btw!!!!!

I'm still as confused as a baby stuffed inside a shopping trolley.
